CREWS

Hey, I’m Sarah. I’m an Occupational therapy graduate student here at CSU and an advisor for CREWS. I like snowboarding, hiking, softball, travel, wiffle ball, swimming, dancing, water-skiing, pole-vaulting, the ocean, live music, reading, college football and road trips. I was born and raised in Nebraska (go Huskers!) and received my Bachelor’s degree at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas (gig ‘em.) Health/wellness education and promotion have always been important to me and are obviously important to CREWS members too. That’s why we get along…and these guys rock my face off.
I’m a third year student majoring in Food and Nutritional sciences with dietetics. I have always strived to help others. That’s why I love being part of CREWS. Educating my peers and helping them make better life choices is such a rewarding venture. Another one of my true joys comes in the shape of my double dapple dachshund named Brock. He is always going on hiking and open water kayaking adventures with me. When it comes to life, I try to live every day to the fullest so when it nears the end I will have no real regrets.
Major: Pre-med and psychology
Year in school: Third year Junior
Interest: Reading, singing, volunteering, listening to music, watching movies, hanging out with friends, relaxing and meditation
Future Goals: To get accepted into medical school in order to complete my education to become a pediatrician or family practitioner.
Why I joined CREWS: I joined CREWS because I believe in making a difference on campus and CREWS is a program that stands for helping others through education to make the right choices which leads to making the differences in their own lives.
Born and raised in Winter Park Colorado, I have been accustomed to skiing, hiking, rafting, biking, and outdoor activities. I love dogs, snow, the cold, and shorts…I am a sophomore studying peoples pupils and behaviors (psychology) and love “New Age” things (tarot, astrology, psychics, awesome stuff like that)!
I said, I am proud to be a CSU RAM. I said I am proud to be Chad ‘Hollywood’ Parron. I was born and raised in Huron, OH. Right next to Cedar Point Amusement Park. I graduated in May of ’04. Worked in Reservations for a campground/mole/complex, I thought I was going into business. I attended the University of Toledo in the fall of ’04, majoring in Business Entrepreneurship. Moved to Montrose, CO in May ’05. Thought I was just going to work for the summer. I liked it so much; I switched my major to Turf Mgmt. Went back to UT for fall of ’05. I was in SWAT (Student Wellness Awareness Team). I moved back to CO b/c I could not take anymore classes at UT. I did not have a job. I somehow got a job as a Dial-a Ride Driver/Gondola Operator. I started on Christmas Day in ’05 and ended in April. Worked again at BGCC from April-Aug. I started here at CSU in Aug ’06. I got attached to CREWS from a flyer. “Gwen, Corey, Deniel, & Cody, wanted me” to be part of CREWS because I was in SWAT. SWAT was 2-3 times bigger than CREWS. I can bring good things to CREWS. I also enjoy Mountain biking, Skiing, Golf, Bowling, and long walks on the beach.

C.R.E.W.S. is awesome. It's an great place to get the word out no how to put on a condom, don't drink and drive, and knowing the risk of second-hand smoke. It's also an wonderful organization that builds friendship, leadership and network.

Well, I'm here at CSU studying some science. This is my senior year here in beautiful Ram country and I hope to make it my best. Play Hard Study Hard is the quote that centers my life…especially since I lived with some awesome party hardy roomies this past year. My favorite thing to do…. give me a beach, some classic rock to listen to and a corona (just one). Others: nothing beats being on the water….all I have to say is Lake Havasu, AZ (pretty much my favorite place yet). I’m a fan of America’s all time classic sport: Baseball. I’m a pretty avid runner…and I take my toy poodle Bosley with me….yeah, he’s an athlete (don’t laugh…). So what’s up with CREWS may be your burning question. Well, CREWS allows me to get to know my campus better. I get to develop some awesome relationships---not just with my fellow CREWS buddies, but also with other students, faculty members, and businesses; all of which are centered on making information available for creating healthier and safer lifestyles. That’s about it. Peace…..from a toy poodle owner….

Hi, I’m Katie. I’m a freshman and a psychology major…for now. I love reading and excessively tall people. My super powers include: x-ray vision, hypno-vision, heat-vision, invisibility and fake British accents. Thanks for reading this, I love you. And please vote for Stephen Colbert in 2008.
After transferring from Washington, Lynne is exited to get involved with a program like CREWS. She is a junior and is majoring in Natural Sciences. She enjoys playing volleyball, writing, volunteering and is slowly becoming a movie buff. She loves to help people (ha ha ha) so don ’t be afraid to ask!
My name is Cody and I am the reddest dude in the world. I’m a CREWS member because I thought it would be wicked awesome to be a part of educating students about safety. I enjoy going to punk shows and romantic candle light dinners off the $1.00 menu at McDonalds followed by a nice chick flick while mud-wrestling. CREWS is totally gnarly and everyone who reads this should stop by one of our events and say Hello! Stay Rad …
